Brewers claim to have made world’s healthiest beer — and you’ll be surprised by the amount of calories

BREWERS claim to have developed the world’s healthiest beer — with just 17 calories a pint.

Alcohol-free Paradismo has five different types of hops, which are good for boosting gut bacteria with vitamin B and amino acids.

Alcohol-free Paradismo is the world’s healthiest beer

Supermarkets and bars will sell it in the hope of raising £50,000 for men’s health charity Movember.

Brewer Big Drop based it on the company’s 0.5 per cent Paradiso IPA and it is vegan and lactose-free.

Firm founder Rob Fink said: “Our beer is gluten-free and ridiculously low in calories at about 3kcal per 100ml.

“A regular strength beer would be about 42kcal per 100ml.

“So we think we have created the world’s healthiest beer and we’re stoked to be working with Movember.”

Research shows the market for low-alcohol drinks is booming and three in 10 of us now buy them.

Around one in five Brits drink potentially harmful amounts of alcohol so ministers are planning law changes to boost the market for zero per cent options.

International beer judge and author, Melissa Cole, said: “Non-alcoholic beers have gone from being something you choke down to something genuinely enjoyable.

“If you are doing Movember and Sober October at the same time, this is going to be a good way to get through it.”
