He enjoyed a glistening career, winning silverware for both club and country.

Kaka lifted the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and also featured at the next two tournaments.

Meanwhile, he won Serie A and the Champions League with AC Milan and La Liga with Real Madrid, along with many other domestic trophies.

Following 17 years in the professional game, Kaka finally hung up his boots in 2017 after three seasons in the MLS with Orlando City.

And with plenty of time on his hands, the ex-midfielder has been out in Qatar working for beIN SPORTS.

Kaka joined Richard Keys, Andy Gray and John Terry ahead of the World Cup final.

And during the coverage, he was asked by presenter Keys to explain why he’s called Kaka.

Keys said: “We’re going to call you Ricky, but where did Kaka come from?”

He replied: “It’s because of my brother, my young brother.

“He’s three years younger than me and when we were kids, he couldn’t say my name, he couldn’t say Ricardo, so he used to call my Kaka.

Key said: ” Did he do you a favour or did he curse you?

Kaka responded: “I think he blessed me because now everyone calls me Kaka, the nickname is recognised around the world.”
