BOOTS shoppers are rushing to buy a must-have beauty gadget scanning for a less than £16 instead of £140.

The high street retailer is selling a Remington Curl and Straight Confidence 2-in-1 Hair Straightener for £15.75, a saving of £124.25.

A keen shopper spied the item in their local Boots and was thrilled at the price.

Posting the find in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, they said: “Run don’t walk to boots!!

“This is £140 new discounted to £35 … got to tills was £17.50 and with student discount is £15.75!!!”

The customer also shared a photo of the bargain beauty gadget with a receipt showing the big discount.

Fellow bargain hunters were quick to comment on the post and make plans to head to their nearest Boots to bag one.

One person wrote: “I went on Boots online they were still 69 quid so you defo got a bargain!”

While simply another said: “Great buy!”

The straighteners were originally priced at £139.99 but they have since been reduced to £69.99.

But it looks like the price had been slashed even further to £17.50 as part of an end of season deal in store.

The savvy shopper then used her 10% student discount to get an additional £1.75 off – taking her final total to £15.75.

You can get student discount if you have a Boots Advantage Card and a valid form of Student ID.

On the Boots website, the gadget is still priced at £69.99, so you may want to head to your nearest store if you want to make the most of the huge discount.

This was the cheapest price we could find for this particular pair of straighteners.

But we did find some Paul Smith straighteners currently on sale at £11 reduced from £14 at Argos.
