BMW’S dramatic ‘Neue Klasse’ SUV has been spotted on a road test ahead of its release.
The upcoming model was snapped out and about in Germany this week with some updated features on display.

Most of the car was hidden away under a black-and-white wrap, but some of the radical redesign was still visible.
Some aspects appear to differ significantly from the iX3, which it is set to replace.
For example, the front grille has been reshaped in the ‘Neue Klass’, or ‘new class’, style that BMW unveiled at this year’s Munich Motor Show.
Likewise, it will feature new alloy wheels, door handles and exterior lights, though its sizing has remained similar.
Inside, it will boast Beemer’s ninth-generation iDrive infotainment system, including a heads-up display and gesture and voice controls.
The model name has not yet been revealed and there has been no confirmation of when it will go on sale.
Nonetheless, it is expected to find its way into showrooms in 2026, according to Autocar.
The new SUV is believed to have a range of around 360 miles, making it 25% more efficient than the car it is replacing.
The motors giant are updating a large number of their electric offerings, with chairman Oliver Zipse previously confirming “six Neue Klasse models in 24 months [from 2025].”
Mr Zipse added: “From SUV to sedan, we will have something for every customer.”
BMW has been contacted for comment.
It comes after Audi’s upcoming Q3 SUV was pictured on its own test drive sporting some upgrades.
Meanwhile, Ford was seen trialling its fastest ever road car, which bears an iconic name plate.
