BMW driver slapped with fine for diabolical parking… but passer-by hands out their own disgusting revenge too

A BMW driver has been fined for some diabolical parking, but a passer-by has also handed out their own disgusting revenge.

An anonymous onlooker took to social media to share a photo of the car parked on the pavement with a parking ticket on the front screen, while an aggrieved passer-by had apparently issued their own kind of penalty, too.

Reddit user @u/laaanscaf69 claims that an angry pedestrian left a yellow bag of s*** on the windscreen of the BMW.

The incident took place in Philadelphia in the U.S.

It’s unclear what the Beemer driver did with the yellow bag when they returned to their motor, but some commenters weren’t confident that it would be disposed of properly.

One said: “The only problem is this douche will probably chuck the bag onto the sidewalk.”

But, according to the Philadelphia Parking Authority, you can be fined around £40 for parking on the pavement – so at least the dodgy parker won’t be able to throw the penalty ticket away.

In the UK, Rule 244 of the Highway Code says: “You must not park partially or wholly on the pavement in London and should not do so elsewhere unless signs permit it.

“Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments and people with prams or pushchairs.”

Outside of the capital, you are permitted to partially park your motor on the pavement, but it must not be causing obstruction.

As a general rule of thumb, the main consideration is that if you do park on the pavement, you allow enough space for people to still pass your car.

Most commenters think that the BMW driver deserved what he got.

One said: “This is a good one; I’ve never thought of this.”

Another said: “Excellent! Somebody should petition the City Council to pass an ordinance recognising this as a best practice in parking enforcement and begin distributing suitable bags for free as a public service.”

A third pointed out: “I’ve been doing it for months (bags of poop only for the worst offenders). It seems to work more often than not.”

This comes after a BMW was spotted parking across two bays.

Plus, a homeowner claims that his neighbour usually parks his BMW in the middle of the street, blocking access to nine driveways.
