The cruise ship is set to sail from Miami in January 2024 and will take passengers on a year-round voyage around the Caribbean including a stop at the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas.

Icon Of The Seas will be able to hold 7,600 passengers across its 20 decks.

There will be eight unique neighbourhoods and more than 40 bars and restaurants on board.

At the heart of the ship, there will be a one-of-a-kind promenade area.

While promenades are a typical feature on most cruise ships, this one will be different.

The promenade area on the Icon of the Seas will have floor-to-ceiling glass windows that will offer guests sea views in a world-first.

The sea views have only been made possible by the Pearl – a sphere-shaped steel structure that acts as a weight-bearing device.

Standing taller than the Hollywood sign and weighing more than a Boeing 787, the Pearl physically supports and anchors the ship.

Even though it’s been used as a structure to support the ship, passengers will be able to walk through the Pearl, which spans three decks, and watch as the walls move and change colour.

The promenade area will also have 15 bars and restaurants where holidaymakers can dine and drink.

These will include familiar favourites like Giovanni’s Wine Bar and Kitchen and Spotlight Karaoke.

New venues will also open including a dueling piano bar where guests will be able to challenge each other to battle it out over the keys.

The area will also have the largest ice skating rink at sea too.

Called Absolute Zero, holidaymakers will be able to watch impressive shows as well as skate with their families.

The promenade also has designated areas where children and teens can relax and play too.

Other features at the heart of the ship include a laser tag arena and full-scale theatre productions.

The Icon of the Seas has plenty of other draws including Thrill Island, the largest waterpark at sea.

There will be six slides including the Frightening Bolt, which is said to be the ship’s tallest drop-slide.

It will also have the first family raft slides at sea too including Hurricane Hunter and Storm Surge.

There are other features too including a terrifying obstacle course that sees guests suspended 154ft above the ocean, as well as returning favourites like the Flowrider surf simulator and mini golf course.

Other features on the ship include the world’s first suspended infinity pool with floating sun loungers and jaw-dropping ocean views.

Holidaymakers will be able to choose from 28 different cabin types, with the Ultimate Family Townhouse spanning three decks complete with a slide, white picket fence, and mailbox.

Meanwhile, infinite Balcony rooms will feature a retractable window turning floor-to-ceiling glass into a balcony.

And guests in the new Sunset Corner Suites will enjoy vast terraces overlooking the rear of the ship.

If you don’t fancy going on a cruise, then there are plenty of other fun spots set to open in the UK.

huge £250m indoor water park and spa Therme is coming to Manchester by 2025.

And a £200m water park has been approved to open in Oxfordshire, called Great Wolf Lodge – and will be the first of its kind outside of the US and Canada.
