Everyone who watches live TV in the UK has to pay £159 for a TV licence or is breaking the law.

Under the BBC’s plans, households will get access to free and independent support from charity StepChange if they are struggling to pay for their TV Licence.

Meanwhile, people will be offered two-month breathing space if they are facing enforcement action.
