We’ve got the official Apple list of 2023’s most popular apps for the UK.

It’s based on total downloads, and charts iPhone categories like free and paid titles for both apps and games.
And you’ll also be able to find out which iPad apps ranked top for 2023 too.
Unsurprisingly, smash-hit (but controversial) shopping app Temu took the top spot for free downloads.
Temu offers rock-bottom prices for items, but has sparked fears over user privacy and product safety.
And second on the list was Tesco‘s Grocery & Clubcard app, followed by Vinted: Buy and Sell Preloved – revealing a trend for shopping.
For paid apps, motorists led the charge with Driving Theory Test 4 in 1 Kit (£4.99) in first place – ahead of the Official DVSA Theory Test Kit (also £4.99).
MONOPOLY GO! was the number one game downloaded in the UK, with Roblox close behind.
And for paid games on iPhone, blockbuster hit Minecraft ranked above all other titles.
When it comes to iPad, tablet owners flocked to download media apps.
The top six free apps were: Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, BBC iPlayer and ITVX.
And Roblox came top for free iPad games, with Minecraft heading up the list for paid titles.
