Ben Affleck and His Son Samuel Introduce the Teams at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

On Friday, Feb. 17, Ben Affleck treated his 10-year-old son Samuel Affleck to an unforgettable day out. The father-son duo not only attended the 2023 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, they also introduced the teams at the start of the game.

Ben and Samuel tag-teamed the introductions with the “Justice League” actor using his best sports announcer voice to introduce the players as they hit court. Meanwhile, Samuel’s enthusiasm was apparent from start to finish. The 10-year-old, whom Ben shares with his ex Jennifer Garner, was animated throughout the introductions and continued to enjoy himself when his dad introduced him to famous faces like Shaquille O’Neal before they settled into their courtside sides.

The game marked a rare public outing for the father and son. Ben and Garner tend to keep their kids (they also share daughters Violet and Seraphina) out of the public eye as much as possible. However, given how much Samuel appears to enjoy basketball it’s no surprise that Ben brought his son to the special event.

For Ben, announcing the players at the celebrity game also gave him a chance to promote his upcoming film “Air,” which tells the story of how Nike secured its famed endorsement deal with Michael Jordan. Samuel even helped his dad out by wearing an “Air” crew shirt. The movie is set to hit theaters April 5.
