Bayern Munich reveal how little they paid for Harry Kane in Tottenham transfer – but there’s a catch

BAYERN MUNICH chief Uli Hoeneß claims they only spent £82million on Harry Kane.

The German giants had several offers knocked back by Tottenham before finally agreeing a fee for the striker.

Kane, 30, had agreed personal terms with Bayern so was ready to make the move as soon as they had a bid accepted.

And according to Bayern honourary president Hoeneß the successful offer was worth just £82m, he revealed to BR24.

However there is a catch with reports claiming the fee will rise to £104m with add-ons.

And if Kane maintains his current form Bayern could have to splash out the rest of the cash earlier than expected.

The striker has nine goals in ten games for the Bundesliga champions, who are unbeaten in the league this season.

He has settled in well and is reportedly considering moving into a luxury mansion worth £29m.

Kane penned a four-year deal to confirm his Spurs exit but the North Londoners are understood to have a buyback clause for the England captain.

Speaking at a Tottenham fan forum last month, chairman Daniel Levy was asked if there was a buy-back clause, to which he replied: “Of course”.

It is unclear what the figure is, or when Spurs can reactivate it.

Kane is actually set to return to Tottenham this week after being given permission to say his final farewells during the international break.

He will visit Spurs’ Enfield base with the rest of the England squad as they prepare for their Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy.

Kane had been unable to say his goodbyes prior to his summer move to Bayern back in August.
