A BARGAIN high street chain is closing almost half a dozen stores across the country.
B&M is to close four branches this year, according to reports.

Some shoppers have spotted huge discounts on products for sale in stores marked for closure.
The Sun has approached B&M for comment on the closures and we will update this story when we hear back.
The B&M store in Maesglas Retail Park in is set to close its doors to make way for the future demolition of the out of town shopping centre.
It shut just days after the retailer closed its Stockton store in the Castlegate Shopping Centre.
But the branch will be relocation to a bigger unit in Stockton town centre.
B&M will also be closing its existing Kilmarnock store in Queens Drive Retail Park on March 26.
Meanwhile, Bristol is losing its B&M shop in Broadwalk Shopping Centre in early April.
The closures, including relocations, are understood to be as follows:

B&M often hosts major discounts before closing down stores.
B&M slashed prices by as much as 75% before it shut up shop on Southgate Street in Gloucester in July last year.
There were similar discounts at a B&M store located in Rugby’s Clock Towers Shopping Centre when it closed in 2021.
And before that shoppers from Slough benefitted from a similar price cut frenzy as a separate closing down sale took effect at a B&M store in the area.
But it’s not all doom and gloom, as B&M is also set to open some new stores this year.
Scunthorpe’s Debenhams store in North Lincolnshire Shopping Park is to be taken over by B&M – which will relocate from a much smaller unit within the same retail park.
B&M is also opening a brand new store and garden centre in Barnsley on March 4.
Other retail closures
Retailers have been feeling the pinch since the pandemic while shoppers are cutting back spending due to soaring inflation.
When prices are going up it squeezes people’s incomes, meaning many are forced to shop less – and that’s bad news for shops, restaurants and pubs.
High energy costs and a shift to shopping online after the pandemic are also taking a toll and many high street shops have struggled to keep going.
Boots has confirmed it will be closing three stores in the UK this spring.
While B&Q is set to close eight “mini-shops” located inside Asda supermarkets for good within weeks.
Homesense, owned by TK Maxx, will also be shutting up shop in Manchester’s Arndale Shopping Centre.
And supermarket chain Iceland is to permanently close almost half a dozen branches, according to reports.
