GLENN MAXWELL has been ruled out of Australia’s match against England on Saturday by a freak accident on the golf course.
All-rounder Maxwell suffered concussion when he lost his grip and fell as he stood on the back of a golf cart being driven to the clubhouse.

He is likely to be under concussion protocols for a week.
England and Australia encourage golf to allow players to relax but Maxwell is the third top player to be hurt in little more than a year.
Last September, Jonny Bairstow broke his leg as he attempted to leave a raised teeing-off area on a course in Yorkshire.
And Aussie wicketkeeper Josh Inglis was ruled out of the T20 World Cup in 2022 after suffering a cut hand when a club snapped
It is also Maxwell’s second bizarre accident in less than 12 months. Last year, he broke a leg when he slipped at a friend’s birthday party and was out for five months.
The Aussies will miss Maxwell, who scored a blistering 40-ball century against Netherlands last week and has been bowling his off-spinners effectively.
Head coach Andrew McDonald said: “Glenn has been honest with the information he’s provided and he’s doing fine.
“I suppose it is fortunate no other injury was sustained, which could have been a lot worse.
