Australian actress Sarah Snook is officially a mum-of-one.
The Succession star quietly revealed she has welcomed her first child with Australian comedian husband Dave Lawson, 44, to her 288,000 Instagram followers overnight, burying the lead in a lengthy essay about the series’ final episode.
“It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me,” Snook, 35, began her emotional message, which was accompanied by a photo of herself and the back of a baby’s head gearing up to watch Succession‘s finale.

“The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with… it breaks my heart that it is all over,” Snook, who had played Shiv Roy on the HBO drama series since 2018, continued.
“But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all… so that makes me grateful.
“To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department.”

Snook said she’s going to miss “the friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes, all the highs and lows” and shouted out the “talented bunch” behind the show, before hinting at who, exactly, the unnamed child in the photo is, by commenting on how her life has changed.
“I’m proud to have worked alongside them, it’s the people I will miss most of all,” she wrote.
“I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.”

It was in March that Snook announced her pregnancy at the Succession season four premiere in New York City, walking the red carpet with her husband and posing with her growing bump.
At the time, she was 32 weeks pregnant, revealing her due date was “like two months” away and telling ET: ”It’s exciting! I feel great.”
Snook, like her character, was pregnant while filming the fourth season, telling the outlet: ”I mean, you couldn’t super tell. Because it’s not super big, at least at the moment.”
The Redfern Now star has been married to Lawson since February 2021. The couple tied the knot in the backyard of her Brooklyn home, just five months after Snook proposed to Lawson in October 2021.
They had been “best friends” since 2014, but their relationship didn’t turn romantic until they were locked down in Melbourne together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
