Mikel Arteta’s side won a nervy penalty shoot-out at the Emirates to beat Porto on Tuesday night – booking a Champions League last eight spot for the first time in 14 YEARS.
Currently top of the Premier League with ten league games left, Arsenal face rivals City on March 31 with the chance to go four points clear.
Asked after the Porto victory whether they want the Premier League or the Champions League, keeper David Raya – who saved two penalties in the shoot-out – said: “Both.”
Saka echoed his team-mate, adding: “I want both.”
On whether they can go to the Etihad and win a league game there for the first time since 2015, the England star continued: “Yeah, we can.
“Right now, we are top of the league and we are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League as we go into the international break.
“That gives us a lot of momentum, a lot of belief, that we can go to the Etihad and get a result.”
Arsenal defensive duo William Saliba and Gabriel have also recently spoken of their Double dreams this year when asked what they have in sight come the end of the season.
Saliba said: “Win the Champions League. win the Premier League,” and Gabriel added: “Obviously”.
Arsenal are close to having a fully fit squad heading into an exciting sprint finish to the end of the campaign, with only Jurrien Timber closing in on a return after ACL surgery in August.
They now have a 17-day gap until their crunch clash at City – with no fixtures this weekend and an upcoming international break.
Following their shoot-out triumph, Arteta said: “It’s another big step, especially as a club.
“For seven years we hadn’t been in this competition and for 14 years we hadn’t got this far. That tells you the difficulty of it. We want more and we’re going to go for it that’s for sure.
“That’s the way you have to look at it right now. If you’re out [of Europe], you think: ‘One less competition that’s great for the league’.
“Now we’re in, it’s the energy that it brings among the squad. It can be very powerful and very useful.”
