ARSENAL legend Michael Thomas has revealed he now owns a chaffeur company – 34 years on from scoring one of the most memorable goals in English football history.
Thomas, 56, won the First Division with the Gunners in 1989 and 1991 during his seven-year spell at the club.

He would then go on to spend seven seasons with Liverpool where he lifted the FA Cup and League Cup.
But it is his strike against the Reds in 1989 that he is remembered for.
Needing a 2-0 win against their title rivals on the final day of the season, Thomas struck Arsenal‘s second in stoppage time to hand them a famous victory at Anfield and snatch the title away from Merseyside.
It was a dramatic end to the campaign rivalled only by Sergio Aguero’s last-gasp goal to win the league for Manchester City 23 years later.
But nowadays, following his lengthy spell at Anfield, he considers himself a Liverpool fan.
And he confirmed to LFC History that he now lives on Merseyside and runs a chauffeur business.
He said: “I live in Liverpool. I go to every home game.
“I have a chauffeur company and a security company for high-level individuals. We guard presidents and things like that.
“My wife is from the north so she likes being in the north so we’re definitely settling in the north. It’s a nice way of life, quieter, more peaceful [than London].”
As well as Arsenal and Liverpool, Thomas featured for the likes of Benfica and Wimbledon, with brief loan stints at Portsmouth and Middlesbrough among his other career moves.
He received two England caps between 1988 and 1989 but failed to be selected for a major international tournament.
But it is on Merseyside where he remains a firm favourite – among both Liverpool and Everton fans.
Toffees supporters love him because he denied Liverpool the 1988/89 league title, before he went on to become a legend with the Reds.
He hilariously added: “Yes, Evertonians buy me drinks. Liverpudlians buy me drinks. Everybody buys me drinks.”
