Arsenal send representative to Brazil to launch bid for Gremio wonderkid tipped to become world class

ARSENAL are interested in Gremio star Bitello, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has impressed in the Brazilian top flight.

Bitello’s form in Brazil has attracted interest from the Premier League

Bitello has attracted interest from around Europe with his performances.

According to Brazilian reporter Rafael Pfeiffer, Arsenal are preparing to launch a bid.

He claims that the Gunners have sent a representative over to Brazil to begin negotiations.

Gremio reportedly want around £8.5million for their star man.

But how they want the deal structured could provide a stumbling block.

It’s claimed that Gremio want to sell 70 per cent of the player’s rights in exchange for £8.5m.

Since 2007, Premier League clubs have been required to own 100 per cent of each player in order to register them.

This means that Arsenal would need to land all of the player’s rights in order to field him in the Prem.

Bitello came through Gremio’s academy and has gone on to thrive in their first team.

The 6ft ace has made 83 appearances for the Brazilian side, scoring 16 goals and laying on seven assists.

While he primarily plays as a midfielder, Bitello has also been deployed on the right wing.

Various highlights packages have circulated on social media, with many Arsenal fans impressed by their potential recruit.

One wrote: “He could be world class. He’s such a player if you’ve watched him.”

While a second swooned: “He’s got great pace, flair & great vision.”

Another added: “I like when we sign from Brazil.”
