Arsenal ‘interested in Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as Arteta lines up huge double transfer’

ARSENAL are lining up a HUGE double transfer as they prepare to bid for Napoli’s Kvarat Kvaratskhelia and Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus, according to reports.

The Gunners have already secured three high-profile signings this summer in the form of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.

That has taken their expenditure to more than £200million as they look to mount another Premier League title challenge this season.

But it is understood Mikel Arteta is still looking to bolster his squad further.

According to journalist Ekren Konur, Kvaratskhelia is one name they are looking at.

The Georgian international, 22, was a revelation for Napoli last season as they clinched their first Serie A title in 33 years.

Arriving from Dinamo Batumi for around £10m, he contributed a sensational 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 appearances.

Along with striker Victor Osimhen, he is now one of the club’s most valuable players.

And Arsenal are keen to bring him in – although they know they will have to stump up a substantial fee.

Earlier this summer, Newcastle were linked with an £82m offer for the attacker – who is under contract until 2027.

Along with Kvaratskhelia, Arsenal are also monitoring Ajax and Ghana man Kudus, 22.

The playmaker, who can line up through the middle or out wide, enjoyed an impressive World Cup for his country which featured a brace in a 3-2 win over South Korea.

He also bagged 18 goals and seven assists for Ajax despite the team’s difficult campaign.

Kudus, whose deal with the Dutch giants does not expire until 2025, is also attracting interest from Chelsea.

A fee of around £40m is believed to be the rough price tag for the player.
