MIKEL ARTETA wants to be able to appeal a second yellow card after losing Takehiro Tomiyasu for Saturday’s game against Fulham.
The Arsenal defender was sent off after getting two bookings at Crystal Palace on Monday.

TV suggested ref David Coote wrongly booked Tomiyasu for pulling Jordan Ayew’s shirt when there appeared no offence.
But yellow cards cannot be overturned. And boss Arteta is further frustrated by Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister having his straight red against Bournemouth rescinded on appeal.
Arteta said: “I would like to see a very proactive approach to appeal against all red cards — but we know that isn’t going to happen.
“We’ve had the referee’s report for Monday’s game. It’s clear from the images what happened but I prefer not to comment too much on that.
“Every ref has the intention to have his best game and tries to be as fair as possible and make the right decisions.
“We all make mistakes and, when you do, apologising is the least you can do and then try to improve.”
Yet Coote has received no sanction for his error and will be on fourth official duties at Brighton vs West Ham this evening.
Arteta added: “For sure he has made a mistake. But I don’t really like to punish people for that and I don’t see that as a solution.

“There are only a certain amount of referees and Howard Webb is looking to improve and change that.”
Arteta is still confused by Tomiyasu’s first yellow in Monday’s 1-0 win, when he took eight seconds over a throw-in after Kai Havertz held the ball for 13 seconds before chucking it to his team-mate.
He said: “There’s a lot of things we need to manage. What happens if a winger picks up the ball because he wants to take a quick throw, but he can’t do it and then you decide to play a long throw and need the opposite full-back to come across the pitch, get a towel and throw it?
“Are we allowed to do that? I don’t know.”
With Tomiyasu suspended, Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to start his first game of the season at left-back, while Gabriel Jesus could make a surprise appearance three weeks after a knee op.
