It is a change which will have an impact on both Arsenal and Manchester United.

The German manufacturer will introduce their trefoil logo on third kits next year.

Adidas originally used the logo during the 1970s and 1980s, with the change made as part of a move to revive their heritage.

Clubs will continue to have Adidas’ current logo on their home and away kits, though.

Arsenal’s current Adidas third kit sees them wear a turquoise-green strip with a navy blue trim.

Meanwhile, United’s white alternate jersey features red features, including their badge and the Adidas logo.

Nottingham Forest and Fulham also have their kits manufactured by Adidas.

Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid are amongst the clubs in Europe who will be impacted by the change.

As are Newcastle, who announced a multi-year deal in September that will see Adidas return as their kit supplier.

The deal was initially leaked in the club’s Amazon Prime documentary before the official confirmation.

Adidas will replace Castore, having previously provided Newcastle’s kits between 1995 and 2010.
