“I’m really happily married,” he told the outlet. “I know five is a lot. But I think I got it right this time.”
In an August 2020 interview on his brother’s radio show Marc ‘The Cope’ Coppola, Cage revealed he had proposed to Shibata, 27, via FaceTime and sent her engagement ring to Japan via FedEx.
“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven’t seen her for six months,” Cage said on the program.
“We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together. So I finally just said, ‘Look, I wanna marry you,’ and we got engaged on FaceTime.”

Erika Koike
In 2019, Cage experienced a very short-lived marriage to make-up artist Erika Koike.
The duo’s March 2019 wedding took place in Las Vegas after the pair had been dating for a year but the decision was seemingly far from thought out.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, Cage claimed intoxication played a role in their rushed decision and noted that he “lacked understanding of his actions in marrying [Koike] to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”
The documents also revealed Cage’s request for an annulment of the marriage after he made allegations that Koike had not informed his of her alleged “criminal history” nor of ”the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person.”
The Oscar-winner split from Koike after four days and was granted a divorce three months later in June.

Alice Kim Cage
Cage’s marriage to Alice Kim amounted to his longest, the pair remaining married for 12 years and welcoming one child together – Kal-El, born in 2005.
The duo tied the knot in 2004, only two months after they met at a Los Angeles restaurant while Kim, aged 19 at the time, was waitressing. Cage, meanwhile, was 40 at the time.
The couple married and travelled together to South Africa while the Hollywood star was filming Lord of War.
The two separated in January 2016 and finalised their divorce later that year, the star admitting in 2018 that their split was “a shocker for me – I definitely didn’t see it coming.”

Lisa Marie Presley
Two years after meeting at a party, the Renfield star tied the knot with the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley – Lisa Marie – in 2002.
Their journey to marriage was not a smooth affair, with Cage admitting in an interview after their split that the pair got into the habit of breaking up and getting back together.
According to an interview between the late Presley and Playboy the singer reportedly claimed that on one occasion the couple had a fight on a boat leading to Cage taking her $65,000 six-carat yellow diamond engagement ring and throwing it into the ocean.

The pricey ring was never found despite the couple hiring divers to recover the gem and Cage “replaced it two days later with a 10-carat yellow diamond.”
The duo divorced after only three months of marriage, however, the divorce wasn’t finalised until May 2004.
After Lisa Marie’s January 2023 death, Cage said that his ex-wife “had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met” and “lit up every room.”
Patricia Arquette
Cage’s first marriage was to model and actress Patricia Arquette.
The two met at a restaurant in 1987, where Cage proposed to the actress on the spot.
Speaking about her marriage with Cage in a November 2018 interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Arquette claimed that the actor had asked the fellow actress to put together a “quest” that he could complete in return for her hand in marriage.
Compiling a list of impossible tasks for the actor to complete, Arquette – 19 at the time – was shocked to find the star making his way through the quest with ease.

“I wrote all these things that I thought were impossible: Getting J.D. Salinger’s autograph, a Hill tribe wedding costume, steal me a Bob’s Big Boy statue, all of these things,” Arquette recalled. “A black orchid, all these things.”
“One by one they all just started coming to me,” she said.
As the quest came to an end, Cage teased that the pair were becoming closer to marriage despite having not gone on a date.
The pair tried to date but split as ”it was just too much and too fast” for Arquette, but by 1995, the star felt ready for marriage and called Cage to let him know.
The two tied the knot in April 1995 and remained together for six years before their 2001 divorce.

The on-screen love affair was reported to also be playing out off set, with the duo rumored to have dated while filming the movie.
Lisa Stothard
Cage’s relationship with actress Lisa Stothard was labelled by many as a rebound relationship that came after his split from long-term partner Christina Fulton.
Although the relationship was short-lived, the pair did attend the premiere of Wild At Heart together.
Christina Fulton
In 1988, Cage began dating fellow actress Christina Fulton.
The pair were together for three years and welcomed a son together, son Weston Coppola Cage, in 1990, before their split a year on.

A brief romance also sparked between the Pig star and fellow actress Ami Dolenz, who starred in the ’80s movie She’s Out of Control.
Brooke Shields

Despite the pair keeping quiet about their relationship, their public appearances kept fans on their toes.
