Their marriage was confirmed to US Weekly at the time.
He previously kept her name under wraps when speaking about his relationship, but said: “She’s a great girl”.
He was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model, Lindsay Frimodt. News of their split surfaced in 2013.
“I don’t know [how it happened]… She hadn’t seen American Pie, thank God. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t be engaged,” he said.
Scott has appeared in films including Final Destination, Road Trip, Dude, Where’s My Car? and American Pie.
In the American Pie film franchise, he stars as Stifler.
For 1999’s American Pie, the first in the film series, he reportedly told Rick Elsen he earned $US8,000 (approximately $AU12,000) for the film, when it made $US235million at the box office.
He reportedly earned $US5million ($AU7.6million) for 2012’s American Reunion.
Last year, Scott told Daily Blast Live about where he thinks Stifler would be now, saying: “I think Stifler would be a stripper.”
“He’d be working at a pretty crappy strip club. His stage name would be ‘Inferno,’ dressed up as a fireman. Problem is his body is a little soft. He let himself go a little bit, but he’s still trying out his sexy moves.”
He previously spoke about moving away from the comedy genre when he worked on the 2003 action film, Bulletproof Monk.
He told Blackfilm.com: “Being in action movies are a lot more difficult.”
“I was like nah, being the funny guy, that’s not why I came to LA., but I appreciated it and I realised that this is really just a blessing to be able to make people laugh and through everything now I look back and I really do feel like I’m at the beginning of my career.”
He added: “I feel like I’m a very physical guy and my agent and I did say over the summer we need to find you your Mission Impossible.”
