In their latest software update, Amazon has introduced a new feature that lets users take control of their Fire TV devices from any web browser.

Manufacturers launched the update in a bid to scratch the need for a physical Amazon Fire TV Remote or the smartphone app.

Users will now say goodby to the hassle of typing on their remotes.

The new web-based virtual remote is set to speed up tasks – including entering passwords or going through your favourite TV shows.

The Fire TV allows control of the Firestick from within the app.

However, with the new virtual remote users will be able to navigate the interface faster and easier.

All you need to do is activate the on-screen keyboard on your Fire TV.

Users will then to scan a QR code with their smartphones to access the virtual remote through their phone’s web browser.

It is accessible from any device with a web browser – including smartphones, laptops, and desktop computers.

The unique URL generated by the QR can then be bookmarked for future use for easy access.

But there are other features users can unlock for free.

Amazon recently revealed a trick to get the best viewing experience on your Fire TV.

It involves a few simple settings changes that can be done in seconds.

“Quickly change the picture settings on your Fire TV Smart TV for the best viewing experience,” the tech giant said on its website.

It comes as Amazon Fire TV Stick owners warned against using modified devices over hidden dangers that risk financial ruin.

In the latest crackdown against illegal streaming a total of 22 legal warnings were issued to people across Ireland alone.

The operation targeted suspected sellers of modified smart TV gadgets like the popular Amazon Fire Stick, which are loaded with free access to premium channels such as Sky Sports.

Where to buy an Amazon Fire TV Stick

AMAZON unveiled the first Fire TV Stick back in 2014 and since then has released various versions, the newest being the Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
