Adriana Lima fires back at criticism regarding her appearance

Former Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima has responded to the nasty gossip surrounding her latest red carpet appearance.

Sporting a black long-sleeved skater dress and a bold lip, the supermodel, 42, attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

Despite looking stunning, her appearance rather unfairly sparked an adverse reaction from social media.

However, Lima clapped back today, taking to her Instagram story to say hers is “the face of a tired mum of one teenage girl, two pre-teens, one active boy, a one-year-old learning to walk, and three dogs … thanks for your concern”.

The Brazilian mother-of-three attended the Hunger Games premiere with her boyfriend since 2021, Andre Lemmers, and her daughters Valentina, 14, and Sienna, 11.

She shares her two daughters with her ex-husband, Marko Jaric, a Serbian basketball player whom she divorced in 2016.

Lemmers’ two children, Miah and Lupo, were also in attendance, with their pair’s one-year-old, Cyan, not there.

Lima and Lemmers welcomed Cyan in August 2022.

He’s the couple’s first child together.

“Cyan is the colour between green and blue on the visible spectrum of light… Cyan now is our favourite colour… the colour of our baby boy’s eyes” she explained on Instagram.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Lima opened up about how she has chosen to embrace her postpartum body.

“Every day I have to remind myself that, ‘Listen, accept who you are. Accept your body’,” she said.

“It’s a transitional body right now because I had a baby.

“So you just created life. It’s such a big blessing.

“Everybody has a different reaction with pregnancy and post-pregnancy.

“So you have to exercise every day, [practice] acceptance with changes. And I struggle every day.

“Every day, I have to remind myself, I’m human. I get insecure here and there.”

She continued: “And then every day, I learn new things. And with age, your body reacts differently. But it’s okay. I’m learning.”

Lima continues to work as a model, as well as being a fan ambassador for FIFA and Watercolour in addition to being a global brand partner for Dogpound.
