A woman who accused Ant-Man star Jonathan Majors of domestic violence has reportedly taken back her accusations, the actor’s lawyer has stated.
In a statement shared with media outlets, including IndieWire and BuzzFeed News, Major’s lawyer Priya Chaudhry revealed there was video evidence and multiple witnesses to the incident that would clear her client’s name.
She also said that the woman “was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday.”

Majors was arrested on Saturday morning (Sunday in Australia) after a dispute with a 30-year-old woman at a Chelsea, New York apartment. The woman claims she was assaulted and was taken to hospital in a stable condition with “minor injuries to her head and neck.”
The police statement listed strangulation, assault and harassment as potential charges, but he was ultimately charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, attempted assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree.
The news has led the US Army to pause its advertising campaign featuring Majors in response, Variety reports.
In a new statement, Chaudhry shed light on where things lie for the actor, who she insists is innocent.
“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently,” she said.
“This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”

She added: “All the evidence proves that Mr Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever. Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday.
“The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”
Majors has shot to fame with his recent work in several major studio films.
In Creed III, he played Damian Anderson opposite director and co-star Michael B. Jordan.
He also signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel, where he plays the villain Kang the Conqueror, most recently appearing as the character in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and in the television series Loki before that.
