Jamie Foxx’s daughter has revealed the actor was rushed to hospital yesterday over a “medical complication”.
The Django Unchained star, 55, is reportedly now in “recovery” after the medical event, his eldest daughter Corinne wrote on social media to her 496,000 followers.
News of Foxx’s hospitalisation was shared in a statement written by the 29-year-old and posted onto her Instagram account.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the statement began.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Corinne has provided no further update since her Instagram post shared earlier today.
The Foxx family did not reveal what the actor was suffering from, however a source with “direct knowledge” told TMZ his condition was “serious enough that [he] was hospitalised.”

“He’s communicating now, and that’s good news,” an insider told the publication.
Foxx’s hospitalisation comes only weeks after he returned to the set of his film Back in Action in Atlanta, which also stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.
