THE world’s biggest indoor go-kart ‘supertrack’ is the size of two football pitches and doesn’t require a licence to race 45mph EV’s.

Supercharged Entertainment in the US township of Edison, New Jersey, is a cutting-edge entertainment complex spread across 16 acres.

And at the heart of the facility is the world’s largest indoor multi-level karting track.

There, you will find two uniquely designed tracks that are both over a quarter-mile long and boast 25 elevation changes.

And when combined, they create an 80,000 square-foot “supertrack”.

While both tracks have a maximum width of 26 feet, there are some key differences.

“Track One” is 1,614 feet in length and contains five left turns and eight right turns.

“Track Two” on the other hand is slightly longer, measuring a total length of 1,781 feet, and has eight left turns and four right turns.

Nonetheless, both courses will really put your go-karting skills to the test.

According to Supercharged’s website, a driver’s license is not required to race.

That’s despite the fact that all the karts can reach top speeds of up to 45mph.

But with all karts being electric, zero emissions are produced, and are perfectly suited to those of all driving abilities.

There are two basic driving levels are on offer: “Pro Speed” and “Semi-Pro Speed”.

Pro Speed is designed for experienced drivers aged 16 and older, while Semi-Pro Speed is designed for inexperienced drivers and anyone under the age of 15.

However, you must meet the height requirement of at least 4ft10in.

Each race lasts seven minutes but, perhaps controversially, the winner is not decided on overall position.

Instead, the champion will be the person who sets the fastest lap around the course.

If go-karting is not for you, or you fancy a change in activity, then the complex is also home to 19 lanes of axe throwing and a two-storey gaming arcade with nearly 160 games including VR experiences.

There’s also a thrilling “Drop & Twist Tower” ride, a bumper car arena, and a full-service restaurant called Burgers & Brews.
