Matthew Perry is being remembered not only for his humour, but his honesty and bravery after US media reports he has died aged 54.
Tributes are flowing for the Friends alum, who was reportedly found dead on Saturday (Sunday in Australia) at a Los Angeles home, according to multiple United States media outlets.
No foul play is involved in Perry’s death, which reportedly followed an apparent drowning.
“He struggled so much with addiction and was brave enough to be open and honest about it,” actress Olivia Munn wrote on her Instagram Story after news of Perry’s death broke.
“I’m so sorry to his family and friends who are getting this news today. Nothing short of heartbreaking. Rest in love, Matthew Perry,” Munn concluded.
Star Trek actor George Takei, meanwhile, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “What a tragic piece of news to read. My heart goes out to his loved ones and long time cast mates.”
