De-fog your misty windscreen in two minutes with 70p Asda product you already have in your cupboard

MISTY windscreens are set to be a thing of the past as a new viral hack promises to help de-fog cars in just two minutes.

The frozen windscreen trick has gone viral on TikTok and it only takes one item that you can grab from Asda for only 70p.

The clip was posted with the caption: “This takes me two minutes!”

After showing a badly iced over windscreen the video tells users how simple it is to defrost your car windows at home.

In the video it instructs people to wack their demisters up to full power, grab some room temperature water and pour it over the glass.

The water mixed with the heat coming from your car should mean the frost goes almost instantly before the next 90 seconds is spent getting rid of the dreadful fog.

And coming in at just 70p from Asda, the water used in the video couldn’t be much cheaper to complete this easy hack.

The great tip was posted to TikTok by TheMaskedInstructor who has over 250,000 followers and is a huge name in the car scene online.

People flooded his comments to thank him for the useful hack.

Others also gave their helpful advice on what they do on the chilly mornings when their car is undriveable because of the bad visibility.

One user said: “Sometimes at night I jut put a blanket over the screen.

“Next morning no ice, job done.”

While another said: “Or just use de-icer and scrape away. So satisfying that way!”

Another viral TikTok revealed the worst possible way to treat a foggy car window that almost everyone has tried to get away with before.

The silly trick where we grab the nearest cloth or tissue and wipe away at the windscreens is actually very ineffective.

It leaves dodgy marks that make it hard to see and might land you a bad fine.

Driving a car that hasn’t fully de-fogged and doesn’t give drivers 100 per cent visibility can actually land you a hefty fine.

Despite no laws the Highway Code does state that a driver’s vision can’t be obstructed on the roads.

Fines of up to £2,500, three penalty points and even losing your licence could be given out if drivers start moving without having perfect visibility.

Useful tips have been flooding the internet recently as winter approaches.

A man called Dave from Epic Automotive Detailing took to his YouTube channel to share a brilliant hack in four easy steps.

Elsewhere, an EV driver has revealed constant AC and range anxiety plagued their roadtrip to Italy.

This comes after a major law change by the Government could impact millions of EV drivers.
