NEWCASTLE are reportedly eyeing a January move for Man City outcast Kalvin Phillips.
The England midfielder, 27, has made just 15 Premier League appearances following a £42million move from Leeds last year.

Phillips remains in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions plans, starting last night’s 3-1 win over Italy.
But with the Euros on the horizon, he knows he must be playing regularly in order to guarantee a starting spot.
And the Northern Echo claims Newcastle are ready to rescue Phillips from Man City with a timely January swoop.
Eddie Howe is no stranger to signing homegrown players at St James’ Park, landing the likes of Dan Burn and Anthony Gordon since his arrival.
Howe is said to be a big fan of Phillips’ work rate and technical prowess, with the midfielder always eager to burst into the box.
And Phillips would be given a fair chance to break into Newcastle’s XI despite the current fierce competition.
Reflecting on his future, Phillips said: “I know that I need to be playing games and competing every weekend.
“I’m going to have to make a decision over the next months.

Meanwhile, SunSport can exclusively reveal Toon are eyeing a move for Victor Boniface.
The Nigeria striker has been banging in the goals for new club Bayer Leverkusen.
And Howe believes Boniface can add an extra dimension to his front line.
Harvey Barnes is a long-term injury casualty, and Boniface’s arrival could allow Alexander Isak to switch to the wing.
Howe is also mindful of the fact that Callum Wilson turns 32 in February, and is also approaching the final 18 months of his contract.
