Halloween costumes and treats double in price leaving parents out of pocket

Martyn James, of the Sun on Sunday’s Squeeze Team, said: “It’s unacceptable that some businesses and big brands are allowing these way-above- inflation price hikes to occur.

Halloween goods are targeted because, even if money is really tight, companies know we think, ‘Let’s have a treat’. Halloween is for kids and they know that we’ll go to a shop, see the price, be outraged, but still buy.”

Here are some of the prices for items this year and in 2022.
