David Beckham has called out Victoria Beckham for lying in their new Netflix docu-series.

The football star confronted his wife after overhearing her in a solo interview with producers talking about her childhood.

The former Spice Girl is explaining to producers how both she and David grew up ‘very working class’, when David overhears the conversation and peeks his head through the door.

“Be honest,” he tells Victoria, to which she replies, “I am being honest.”

But the former Manchester United player doesn’t give up there.

“What car did your dad drive you to school in?” he asks.

Victoria continues to try and dodge the question, saying, “It’s not a simple answer… it depends.”

Her husband keeps insisting she answer truthfully, until the fashion designer eventually reveals her ‘working class’ dad did indeed drive her to school in a Rolls Royce.

The series was released on Netflix on October 4, and shows the Beckhams in a whole new light.

It marks the first time the pair have opened up about David Beckham’s affair allegations from 2003 when he was playing for Rael Madrid in Spain.

The pair originally denied everything, even going as far as threatening legal action against the (first) women claiming she had had an affair with David.

The docuseries features Victoria opening up about the toll the allegations took on both her marriage, and her personally.

“You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other,” the 49-year-old said.

“But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either… And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.

“It was an absolute circus – and everyone loves it when the circus comes to town right? Unless you’re in it,” she added.

David also shared his thoughts on the issue, explaining that not only did it affect his performance on the field, but he also felt ‘physically sick every day’.

“I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty,” he said.

“Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we’re fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family.

“And what we had was worth fighting for.”
