Victoria Beckham left ‘pissed off’ when David missed birth of son Cruz for photoshoot with Beyoncé and J.Lo

David and Victoria Beckham have opened up to the world about their life, love and marriage in the new Netflix documentary, Beckham.

While the pair opened up for the first time about the 2003 affair rumours that plagued their marriage, there was one unexpected revelation that came from the four-part series.

The doco revealed Victoria was “pissed off” with David missing the birth of their son Cruz to take part in a glam photoshoot with pop icons Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé.

“I was like… seriously, I am about to burst. I’m on bed rest. Are you kidding me?” Victoria says 18 years later in the documentary.

“You’ve got a damn photoshoot with Jennifer Lopez, who is gorgeous and not about to have a baby.

“So I had my C-section and I remember lying there, don’t feel at my most gorgeous, let’s just say.”

The mum-of-four then recalled how the moment unfolded on front pages the following day.

She remembered one had a photo of David standing between Beyoncé and J.Lo with the headline “What would Posh say?”

“Let me tell you what Posh would say,” Victoria says in the documentary, still clearly upset by it.

“Posh was pissed off.”

Earlier in the episode of the docuseries, the couple spoke about the difficult time in their marriage after David moved to Madrid, with Victoria and their older sons Brooklyn and Romeo going back and forth between the UK and Spain.

“It was probably, if I’m being honest, the most unhappy I’ve have ever been in my entire life,” Victoria admitted.

The couple say they were hounded by paparazzi and followed everywhere they went - especially in the aftermath of the affair rumours.

“There was some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage,” David recalled of that time.

“I think we both felt, at the time, that we were not losing each other but drowning,” he added.

While the pair made it through that tumultuous time with their marriage remaining in tact, the footballer admits he don’t know how they survived that strain.

“I don’t know how we got through it in all honesty,” David said.

“Victoria is everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult but we’re fighters. And at that time, we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family. And what we had was worth fighting for.”
