And the CBS Sports team of Richards, Henry, Jamie Carragher and Kate Abdo will be at St James’ Park to get a taste of the atmosphere.

The former Manchester City star couldn’t wait to get there, explaining last night: “It’ll be good for the show.

“We don’t want to be just pitchside, we get to go upstairs, do a bit of mingling with the fans, with the Geordies, we get to see real culture.”

Richards was then asked by Carragher to explain the Newcastle ways of life.

He then left everyone in hysterics with his blunt reply as he said: “It’s drinking.”

Henry could not believe what Richards’ remarks and was almost speechless as he gasped and put papers over his face.

The ex-Arsenal and Barcelona man responded: “Oh my God.

“Did he just say that live on TV? All the best tomorrow.”
