A CAR salesman has given his top tips on how to choose the best car at the dealership and save hundreds.

The TikTok user has been praised after explaining the car sales hack in a video which has now gone viral.

Known as ‘Billy’, the motors whizz showed users exactly how to get the best bang for your buck when purchasing a car.

He told viewers: “I often saw people buy the brand new vehicle of their dreams.

“They show up at the dealership because the vehicle has arrived.

“And shortly after, maybe a month or two, I see that same person back at the dealership.”

Billy says that these are the vehicles that you may see at a dealership with barely any miles on the clock.

And you would be well within your rights to question what is wrong with that vehicle.

The TikToker continued: “The truth is that most of the time this is somebody who underestimated the use of the vehicle and how much they were going to need it.”

And he says that if you are desperate to trade in the vehicle for another one then the dealership will not be rushing to cut you any breaks.

Billy says that the dealership is likely to give you trade numbers for that vehicle you just paid MSRP for.

He added: “Once they have given you trade numbers – which will be less than your original cost – they are going to put it back on the lot for full retail price.

“These are the vehicles you should be looking for, they have thousands in profit and nothing to charge for the vehicle.

“There were no repairs or damages when it came back in, all the dealership has is profit on profit.”

Billy says that he knows this both from experience working in a dealership and trying to secure deals for his customers.

He adds: “Many times I’ll pick one of the vehicles with the lowest miles in the inventory.

“If you stick hard to your game plan and offer them an offer.

“Ask them for an out the door price and simply just offer them a number – the worst they can say is no.”

He says that you can even do this from the comfort of your home.

And Billy swears that by price shopping around you will find that sweet deal you are looking for.
