But he highlighted two key criteria Brits MUST meet if they want to buy an EV too.

He pointed out he’s lucky to have off-street parking and a built-in charger at home, and says he’d be stuck without them.

Taking to his YouTube channel Petrol Ped, the driver explained: “Living with an EV without the ability to charge it at home in my opinion would be an absolute nightmare.

“You don’t have that amazing luxury of waking up in the morning and the car has juice.

“You wake up and think ‘I’ve got to spend an hour at a public charging point to get enough range in the car for my week’s commute’. You have to plan that in.”

“Then if you go to a public charging point, the amount you’re paying per kilowatt is going to be significantly more than what you pay at home.”

He said off-street parking is key to making sure you get the most out of your EV as having a built-in charger at home can save you time and money.

It comes after an EV driver told how she spends hours going nowhere thanks to the electric motor she owns.

And an EV owner was left fuming after what should have been a routine road trip for work turned into a crazy 13-hour ordeal.
