IT’S easy to blame your router or service provider when your Wi-Fi connection is slow.

But the problem may actually be down to a very common problem closer to home.

There are lots of objects that can secretly have an impact on your broadband around the house.

These include things like microwaves running and even fish tanks.

But if you’re certain it’s none of those, the issue may be on your computer itself.

More specifically, it could be because of your browser, such as Google Chrome.

“Too much cache data can result in websites not loading, partially loading, or even loading very slowly,” reveals Avast.

“Clear out your browser’s cache and get rid of any files that might be interfering.”

If you want to clear your cache on Google Chrome, here’s how.

How to clear Google Chrome cache

Open Google Chrome and click on the three-dot menu in the top right.

Go to More tools, then select Clear browsing data.

Make sure the three options are selected.

Then click the Clear data button.

Now try browsing as you normally would and see if it improves the speed.
