Hugh Jackman has returned to social media following a brief hiatus, after announcing his split from wife Deborra-lee Furness after 27 years of marriage.
The Aussie actor, 54, posed up wearing a Global Citizen t-shirt as he promoted the upcoming charity concert that will take place in New York on Saturday.
The Wolverine star captioned his post: ”Let’s go Global Citizen Festival.”

“This weekend in NYC – rain or shine. If you have tickets, have a great time in Central Park. (Or you can watch live. Click the link on my stories or Thread.)”
He also shared a poster for the festival, which he has been a big supporter of over the years which aims to help end poverty.
Jackman’s last post was of a sunset on September 13.

Just days later, on Friday, he and wife Deborra-lee Furness, 67, announced their shock split after 27 years of marriage.
They told People in a statement: ”We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.”
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

The Australian powerhouses maintained their family will remain their “highest priority”.
“We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” the statement continued.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
Signing off the devastating 76-word statement, they added, “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”
According to Page Six, the former couple still “speak regularly” and plan to “navigate” their split together.

A source told the publication, “[Hugh has] spoken to Deb and they’ve seen each other.”
“They speak pretty regularly.”
“[Hugh and Deb] are always going to be friends and navigate this together. You just can’t be married for 27 years, share two kids and suddenly stop speaking.”
The pair met in 1996 on set of iconic Aussie TV drama Corelli, and had an “instant connection”.
They married 11 months later on April 11, 1996, and went on to adopt and raise two children together, Oscar, now 23, and Ava, 18.
Jackman and Furness’ last official public appearance together was at the Met Gala.
