He demonstrated the trick in his BMW and asked viewers: “Did you know?”
All you have to do is open the glovebox and find a row of three buttons on the upper right-hand side.
These bear the same symbols as on the key fob.
The buttons on the left and right allow you to lock the boot from the driver’s seat.
But the one in the middle triggers the function that automatically opens the boot.
Just press and hold it for a couple of seconds and the boot lid will pop open.
It’s ideal for when you’re sitting in the car and your passenger comes back with full hands or if you just want to have the boot open by the time you get out and walk over to it.
As he demonstrated, Aden said: “I have another BMW trick you probably didn’t know”.
He added that the lock function could be used to stop anyone opening the boot if, for example, you give your car to a valet.
Just press the button and then use the manual key hidden in your key fob to lock the glovebox behind you.
The key can be found by pressing a switch, usually on the bottom of the fob, and pulling the metallic part out of the bottom.
Social media commenters were amazed by the hack.
One wrote: “I just found out yesterday.”
Another added: “I work in a BMW dealership and I always wondered why people take their key with them and just leave the remote.”
And BMW Canada’s TikTok account replied with several clapping emojis.
It comes after an EV expert warned drivers about five common mistakes that could cost them thousands.
Meanwhile, a major Kia dealership has been closed down and replaced with a huge garage 13 miles away.
