A MUM has revealed how her whole family got a Jet2 flight all to themselves after their original trip had been cancelled.
The family were due to go to Lanzarote on their first holiday for eight years, only to find their journey had been grounded.

What initially looked like a disappointing start to their vacation turned into a memorable one, when the family found themselves on a flight with no one else the next day.
In a video on Tiktok parent Dina Louann (@dinalouann_06kids) showed her “private flight” with just her family on board.
In the caption, she wrote: “When you book a holiday for the first time in 8 years and your flight gets cancelled.
“After hours of tears and devastation we got our own Jet2 private flight for just us and our babies.”
Asked how she ended up on the flight with no one else, Dina explained that her travel agent sorted out the new flight – but no one else was booked onto it.
She added: “Our agent got it us because our flight was cancelled 24 hours before.
“But it was just us on it the next day, no one knew it was flying.”
The video has been seen more than 36,000 times since it was shared two days ago, with lots of people amazed by Dina and her family’s flight.
One wrote: “You had a whole A330 to yourself???”
Another said: “Wow so lucky. Have a lovely holiday.”
A third simply added: “???? how ????”
Dina isn’t the only person to have had a Jet2 flight all to themselves this year, with Paul Wilkinson, from St Annes, Lancashire, a lone passenger on a flight from Belfast to Faro in Portugal.
The 65-year-old thought his flight had been either delayed or cancelled.
However, he was told by Jet2 staff that he would be their VIP guest and that he would be the only passenger on board.
Paul said: “It was like being on my own private jet. Someone told me a private jet is in the region of £28,000 and it’ll probably never happen again.
“There was no one at the gate which I thought was strange. I spoke to the stewards waiting to take the passports and they said ‘oh Mr Paul, you’re VIP today. You’re flying on your own‘.
“I thought they were having a laugh. I thought I was early or late. I kept thinking they were going to say my flight had been cancelled.”
Elsewhere, Kai Forsyth was the sole passenger on an eight-hour flight from the UK to the US in January last year.
He shared a video on Tiktok with the caption: “Maybe the weirdest experience”, which showed his followers the deserted plane.
He made himself comfortable by creating a makeshift bed across the empty seats in one of the rows.
He said: “It was eight hours so I set up a bed. Literally the comfiest I’ve been on a plane.”
