RYAN MOORE sent punters into a frenzy after his truly remarkable ride on Broadhurst at Leopardstown over the weekend.
Moore gave his weighing room colleagues a schooling on the Saturday of the Irish Champions festival, hoovering up four of the races with world-class rides.
Future star Diego Velazquez kicked off the day in style for Moore before he put on a clinic to get Auguste Rodin home in the Irish Champion Stakes.
He then put his fellow jockeys to shame with a pearler of a front running ride on Adelaide River.
The best was yet to come, however, as his ride on Broadhurst was simply sublime.
Moore had Broadhurst parked last early and with front runners dominating the day, it looked impossible for the pair to win.
Those who had backed Broadhurst would have been screwing up their tickets as they turned in, with Moore last and needing to pass the entire field down the outside.
Once Moore got into the drive, it was very obvious that something special was about to happen.
The pair stormed down the centre of the track to win going away, leaving punters to pick up their jaws.
One on Twitter said: “Honestly, that’s one of the great rides ever.”
While another said: “Ryan Moore once again proving he’s unrivalled.”
One more said: “How impressive was that, it looked spectacular.”
You know it was a good ride when Jerry Hannon produces a ‘Roaring Bull-esque’ commentary. Bravo Ryan.
