Roy Keane back in stadium for first time since being ‘headbutted’ as Man Utd legend cracks rare smile with NFL royalty

ROY KEANE returned to a sport’s stadium for the first time since he was allegedly headbutted as he watched the NFL game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.

The Irishman, 52, was involved in an altercation with an Arsenal fan earlier this month as Sky Sports colleague Micah Richards pinned a fan against a wall.

The 42-year-old man in question has since been arrested by authorities.

Meanwhile, during the international break, Keane used the time to jet off to the US.

And he was pictured at the Jets vs Bills match in New Jersey on Monday evening.

Keane posed with former New York Jets centre Nick Mangold, 39, as they held up jerseys in a show of support for the home team.

And the pair were not let down by the Jets as they ran out 22-16 winners at the MetLife Stadium.

Man Utd legend Keane was not the only famous face in attendance for the game.

YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul, 26, was also at the match – one month on from his victory over Nate Diaz.

Former Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi was another at the game.

The 36-year-old, who has been a free agent since last year when he left Inter Miami, held up a personalised New York Jets jersey for the cameras.

Meanwhile, a witness told The Express earlier this month that Keane was asking nearby staff to call police following the alleged incident at the Emirates.

The witness said: “The fan seemingly tried to headbutt Roy Keane. I then saw a mark between his eyebrows.

“Micah Richards stepped in and pushed the fan back against the door. I heard the altercation and I was shocked to see the individuals involved.”

They went on to add: “Afterwards, we noticed a small amount of blood on the floor on the route where the fan was led out. Seems like Micah Richards was acting as Roy Keane’s bodyguard.”

The pundits were eventually escorted down to the pitch, where they were able to continue their broadcast alongside Theo Walcott and presenter Dave Jones.
