FINDING a cheap holiday can seem impossible right now – but thankfully there are still some great places that won’t break the bank.
We’ve rounded up some of the destinations you may not have heard of – but are just a few hours from the UK and flights are less than £20 when flying this month.

Preveza, Greece
Ditch Mykonos and Santini for Preveza, a Greek city south of Corfu.
It still has a long white sandy beach, with Monolithi Beach being the longest in Europe.
Expect a mix of both Italian and Greek culture, and many visit for oat trips to explore the nearby coves.
Flights are just a few hours and it remains warm into early winter.
Flights start from £19.

Vigo, Spain
The city of Vigo in Spain doesn’t just have cheap flights to make it a holiday destination.
There are lots of beaches, including the popular Playa Samil, as well as a whopping 11 restaurants in the Michelin Guide.
It’s slowly becoming popular with Brit expats too, who are moving to the city.
Flights are around two hours and temperatures remain above 20C even in autumn.
Flights start from £17.

Osijek, Croatia
Rather than Zagreb or Split, the Croatian city of Osijek is a great cheap city break option.
Despite being a city, it has Copacabana Beach as well as the largest zoo in Croatia.
It is also undergoing a huge expansion with a new football stadium Opus Arena, and an €8.5million tech development.
Ryanair just launched new flights from London Stansted to Osijek this year.
Flights start from £16.

Ouarzazate, Morocco
Most head to Marrakesh when visiting Morroco.
However, further south is Ouarzazate, a city known as the Hollywood of Morocco which is set to feature in Gladiator 2 and also featured in Game of Thrones.
Many also visit for day tours to the Sahra desert, as well as visit the Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Being in the south, flights are just over three hours and temperatures stay around 35C in September.
Flights start from £18.

Ancona, Italy
Ancona is just a few hours from the UK, but often forgotten about when visiting Italy.
More popular with local Italians than tourists, some of the beaches can only be reached by boat so don’t expect crowds.
There are lots of ferry services too, so you could even find yourself in Croatia, Greece or Albania.
Flights are just over two hours from the UK.
Flights start from £16.
