Bruce Springsteen has postponed his remaining shows for the rest of the month last-minute after receiving advice from his medical advisors.
In a post shared to the star’s Instagram account, a statement reads: “Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow’s show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY.”
According to the statement, the reason for the tour’s delay is due to Springsteen being “treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease,” with his medical advisors urging him to postpone the month’s shows.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, peptic ulcer disease is a gastrointestinal condition that “occurs when open sores, or ulcers, form in the stomach or first part of the small intestine.
“Many cases of peptic ulcer disease develop because a bacterial infection eats away the protective lining of the digestive system.”
The 73-year-old also addressed his fans in the statement, writing a heartfelt message: “Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support.
