Rita Ora and Taika Waititi have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles.
Now, the jeweller behind the singer’s stunning five carat diamond wedding band has shared candid details about the ring and what it was like to work with the hitmaker, 32.
Talking exclusively to 9Honey Celebrity, Zena K’dor from House of K’Dor described Ora as a ‘beautiful soul’ and said she wanted a ‘timeless’ wedding band ‘with a modern twist’.
Ora opted for a stunning band that features almost five carats of the finest natural, round, brilliant diamonds in an 18k white gold setting to match her reported $860,000 emerald green engagement ring.

While not disclosing the exact price of the bespoke band, K’dor said her husband Tarick K’dor handcrafted the ring in the House of K’dor Atelier after they were approached by Ora earlier this year.
”We’re super excited, I met Rita earlier this year when she was here in Sydney filming,” K’dor said.
“When she saw the collection, she looked at it and she was familiar with the brand and that was incredible for me.
“I love her music, style and energy and has such a really cool vibe and for her to know about the brand and admire it, that’s how the relationship formed.

“She reached out and said she wanted to see the collection, she’s just such a beautiful soul. With all our guests, they enter the boutique and our home and that’s when she suggested we design her wedding band, someone I admire, it was so special.”
About the ring design, K’dor said Ora wanted ”something that stood out” and matched her personality.
“It’s a timeless wedding band with a modern twist. She wanted something unique and she’s such an artist and has unique fashion, she’s cool and contemporary,” K’dor said.
“We wanted that band that had a modern twist that represented her.”

“It was meticulously hand-crafted in our Sydney atelier and it’s just under five carats of natural round diamonds, it’s a beautiful band.
“She wanted a piece that stood out, she could wear on her own solo or with the emerald green engagement ring she had.
“We wanted a band that fitted her personally and lifestyle, the diamonds are triple excellent, brilliant and all natural.”
K’dor, who has worked with the likes of Kelly Rowland and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, went on to say that it was really easy working with Ora.
“She’s beautiful and just radiates,” she explained.
“What I loved about her was how kind and genuine she really is and it’s nice to work with someone who appreciates workmanship.”
K’dor said she met Waititi, 48, and Ora’s family throughout the design process and said you can tell just how in love the newlyweds are.
“Her mother and whole family were amazing. They are such a cool couple, artistic, [full of] so much love and modern,” she said.
“It makes me so happy to be a part of the journey, it’s sublime. It’s a highlight.
“We treat everyone the same and everyone gets the K’dor experience. It’s a family. It’s celebrating moments and moments like this that give us the ultimate fulfilment.”
“As a designer, it’s incredible to see someone like that represent your brand.”
The star couple, who got together at a mutual friend’s birthday party while both in Australia for work in 2021 – Ora on The Voice Australia and Waititi for Thor: Love & Thunder – only just confirmed their 2022 nuptials this year.
In January, Ora confirmed her wedding and said on Heart Radio Breakfast: ”Yes [I am married]. I am officially off the market people. I chose to keep it more private and keep it to myself more but with my new video I am playing on what could have been”.
”It was perfect. It was exactly, exactly how I wanted… It is nice to keep some things just to myself sometimes it was nice and sweet… Sorry it’s not that interesting. One day I will throw a big party.”
