ARSENAL legend Paul Merson was labelled a “naughty man” live on Sky Sports after proposing Liverpool sell Mo Salah and try to sign Bukayo Saka in January.

But, with the Saudi transfer window not closing until Thursday, there are reports they will return with a £200m offer.

The issue surrounding the deal is that the Reds would have no opportunity to replace the Egyptian as the English window has now shut.

However, ex-Gunners man Merson, 55, believes they could snatch Saka, 21, away from Arsenal in the January window for around £150m.

Speaking on Soccer Saturday, he said: “Do they sell him [Salah] for £200 million and then in January see if they can get Saka from Arsenal for 150?

“I’m thinking, one person’s 31 (years old), if I can get £200 million who’s the next one in line? Who’s going to be the next big thing?

“Who’s the next one in line? It’s definitely Saka, he’s the best right winger about after Salah!”

In response to his claim, host Simon Thomas replied: “You naughty man.”

Saka signed a new four-year contract with Arsenal in May to keep him at the club until 2027.
