MCDONALD’S is axing two items within days after a short run on menus.

The fast food chain is pulling its Caesar and Bacon wrap and Mozzarella Bites from restaurants on September 6.

It introduced the options alongside four other newbies in June, but they will go forever next week.

The double chocolate pie was due to come off menus at the same time, but it was suddenly axed last month.

Maccie’s fans still looking to get their wrap or Mozzarella bite fix can pick up the items for £5.19 and £2.29 respectively.

The Mozzarella bites also come as a sharebox for £6.29.

It comes after three savoury and sweet options introduced earlier this summer were axed in August.

McDonald’s dropped the Biscoff McFlurry, Spicy Sriracha Wrap and Double Big Mac from menus.

We gave the Biscoff McFlurry a try before its release and this is what we thought.

Consumer Reporter James Flanders gave the wrap and chocolate pie a try too.

How to save money at McDonald’s

There are plenty of ways to save money at the fast food chain, whether in a restaurant or from the comfort of your home.

You can get freebies on your birthday if you’ve got the McDonald’s app, which is downloadable on to iPhones and Androids.

Remember to log your date of birth when you sign up though – this is how it knows when the special day is.

Meanwhile, you can nab a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 by filling out a quick feedback survey after making a purchase.

You receive a 12-digit code on your receipt which you can use to fill out the survey on McDonald’s website.

Make sure you do it within 60 days of receiving it though, after which it will expire.

Choosing the right Maccie’s branch to visit could save you some cash as well, as menu prices can vary in restaurants just a few miles apart.

Previous research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants that are within two miles of each other.

In other news, McDonald’s has revealed the exact date its popular Monopoly game is returning.
