Taylor Swift has announced she’s bringing her sold-out Eras Tour to cinemas.
The American singer, 33, made the huge announcement on Instagram on Thursday and received almost six million likes on the post alone.

Fans will get a glimpse at touring life for Swift from October 13.
However, unfortunately for Aussie Swifties, it seems the theatre experience is only coming to screens in North America.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift wrote in her announcement.
“Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! Tickets are on sale now.
“Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged.”

A spokesperson for Hoyts told 9Honey on Friday: “We currently do not have any confirmation if this will be coming to HOYTS.”
“At this stage, the rights to screen ‘Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Concert Film’ in cinemas is limited to the United States, Canada, and Mexico only.
“We recognise the demand for this movie and the excitement of local Swifties, and should Australia receive the theatrical rights to screen this in cinemas, we will certainly look to participate.”
Plenty of Aussie Swifties were left heartbroken in June when tickets to the Eras Tour completely sold out in a matter of hours.
A reported four million people were in the virtual queue to nab tickets and half a billion bots were kicked out of the queue by Ticketek.
Even with two pre-sales, a general sale, and added tour dates, millions of Australian Taylor Swift fans missed out on a chance to attend one of Swift’s concerts.
Some even lined up in Penrith at the Ticketek office in a bid to nab tickets, which they described as ‘ironic’ as it’s ”easier than buying them online”.

Now, devoted fans have another chance to get their hands on Swift tickets through Ticketek Marketplace. The official resale date has not yet been shared after being rescheduled.
Swift, 33, is set to tour Australia in February and will play shows in both Sydney and Melbourne.
The website states that resale tickets are capped 10 per cent above face value, which helps prevent ticket scalping or sales at ridiculous amounts.
General tickets for the Eras Tour ranged from $79 to $379, although some VIP packages ranged from $349 – $1249.

The original barcode on tickets is cancelled and Ticketek will re-issue the barcodes to concertgoers closer to the performance dates.
For sellers, listing a ticket on Ticketek Marketplace is free – but sellers need a Ticketek account for the transaction.
Sellers also have the option to sell tickets either individually or in a group and tickets are sent directly to the buyer for an easy transaction.
For buyers, Ticketek Marketplace has ensured that if they don’t receive their tickets for any reason, they give you a money back guarantee.
When tickets went up for general sale two months ago, some fans were left delighted at nabbing a ticket, while others were up in arms.
After hundreds of fans realised they could score tickets at the Ticketek office in Penrith, a group of Melbourne Swifties realised their local newsagency was selling tickets too.
Emily, a Nine employee and big Swift fan, had friends from Bendigo in Victoria line up at a newsagent, which is affiliated with Ticketek.
The lucky fans managed to score two tickets to the Sunday show in Melbourne after waiting two hours.
“They are hardcopy tickets,” a delighted and bemused Emily told 9Honey.
Longtime Swiftie Jemima Skelley gave fans tips but warned about ticket scalping.
For many fans, getting a concert ticket is only half the battle won.
Given the Bad Blood singer is only performing in two cities, hoards of ‘Swifties’ have already set their sights on the next task – securing hotels and flights to get them there.
The surge in demand (+9400 per cent for some properties!) has seen a host of hotels already fully booked, and flights selling fast. Read more about the huge uptick in demand at 9Honey Travel.
The issue of getting tickets has made one thing abundantly clear: Aussies bloody love Taylor Swift. And, as a resurfaced interview from 2014 proves, that love is reciprocal.
Nova has dug up an interview it did with the pop icon when she was Down Under promoting her 1989 album, and in it, she declares Australia one of her “favourite places to be”.
“There’s such amazing crowds and such amazing fans that I just want to thank them for making this a place that I come, and I feel very at ease here, very at home, because I feel like they understand what I’m trying to do,” she told the radio station.
In the U.S., a number of stars and even Swift’s celebrity friends have attended her concerts, including the likes of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Laura Dern.
Swift, known for hits including Lover and Love Story, is playing 50 dates on her U.S. tour and 50 dates internationally.
Best of luck, Swifties!
