Kylie Minogue releases new music a day after huge TV return announcement

Kylie Minogue fans are in for a treat, with the Aussie superstar not only coming back to TV, as she announced recently, but also dropping new music.

The Aussie pop princess announced overnight that she will be dropping the music video for her new single Tension tonight.

The singer shared a snippet of the music video with her fans on Instagram. Minogue can be seen stylishly dressed in a classic red mini dress with matching red hat and green scarf, swinging her bag in her hand as she walks into a structure lighted with fluorescent lighting.

She looks up in bewilderment before the screen cuts out, revealing the times that the music video will be dropping, with the last being Melbourne (and Sydney) at 9pm.

The song is already available for streaming on streaming platforms, having dropped overnight. He new album, also named Tension, which will be released on September 22.

Her new music comes as she announced her return to TV after a long hiatus from the screen.

The 55-year-old took to Instagram two days ago to announce a TV special that will be celebrating her career.

She will be collaborating with British broadcaster ITV to bring back their An Audience With… one-off special, to feature the Aussie singer.

“It’s been hard to keep this one a secret… Get ready for an unforgettable evening! 🤩An Audience with Kylie, coming later this year to ITV1 and ITVX,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

According to the Huffington Post, ITV has pledged to take the special TV event “to the next level”, taking place at London’s Royal Albert Hall in December. 

The singer commented: “I’m so excited to announce that I am teaming up with ITV for An Audience with at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall!

“I’ll be performing some of my favourite tracks from throughout my career and no doubt answering some surprising questions from the audience. I can’t wait to share this moment with you all.”
