Selena Gomez, 31, is reportedly in a bit of strife over a now-deleted photo the star posted to her Instagram on Wednesday.
The Single Soon singer has been accused of violating the SAG-AFTRA guidelines during Hollywood’s strike with a seemingly innocent post many fans are claiming promoted her TV show.
Gomez shared a black and white picture of herself that appeared to be from the set of Only Murders in the Building to her 427 million followers.

“Missing and waiting @onlymurdershulu,” Gomez captioned the post, also tagging the show’s official Instagram handle.
The actress is one of the main stars of the series, which is currently in the middle of its third season and will return on September 5.
While the Come and Get It singer did not tell her fans to go and stream the show in exact words, many still argued the post violated the strike rules.
On July 13th, Hollywood’s actors joined writers on strike for updated contract terms and working conditions.
As part of the SAG-AFTRA action, actors aren’t able to share their projects or content or attend any festivals or conventions that might be considered a form of promotion.
They are also unable to give interviews, which is why Gomez and her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short have not spoken to the press about their Hulu show’s latest season.
The last time Gomez promoted the show was in June before the SAG-AFTRA strike began. She posted a photo of herself and her co-stars with the caption: “Some of my favorite people.. Only Murders In the Building season 3 is coming august 8th!!!! @hulu @onlymurdershulu
The Lose You to Love Me singer’s since-deleted post generated a whopping over 1.1 million likes in just 15 hours, according to Variety.

But during that brief window, fans were quick to call the star out for not following the strike rules.
“Tone deaf,” one person commented on the post according to Page Sixsuggesting Gomez did not seem to be thinking of the ongoing strike.
“This is direct violation,” another person wrote.
“You’re not supposed to mention your work, any work ’cause social media posts equal to promotion of said work,” they added, suggesting the post could result in Gomez being blacklisted from the union.

As a SAG-AFTRA member, while Gomez is unable to promote her film and TV work, the star is still able to share her music endeavours with fans.
Most recently, she has been promoting her recent single, Single Soon, which was released on August 25.
“Thank you guys for all the love on Single Soon!!!” she wrote on a recent Instagram post.
“It’s a playful anthem about being comfortable in your own skin and loving your own company… and it’s also really fun to dance to! 💞”
While Gomez continues to spread the love for her new song, she has yet to comment on the controversy around her now-deleted photo that could put her in violation of her SAG-AFTRA membership.
