A PREMIER League legend wants to make a giant 50-storey tower even TALLER in a major UK city.
First proposed 15 years ago, Gary Neville‘s St Michael’s scheme in Manchester city centre includes two towers with a five-star hotel, luxury flats, offices and a rooftop restaurant.

The initial plan was slammed by locals as it wanted to demolish the legendary Sir Ralph Abercromby pub – believed to be the inspiration for the BBC TV series Life on Mars – which is thought to have stood since the 1700s.
Part of a historic police station was also set to be axed in the £120million proposal.
Now the Manchester United legend, 48, wants to add two more storeys to the No. 2 St Michael’s tower making it the city’s second-tallest building.
Jackson’s Row Development Ltd submitted documents detailing new plans to increase the height by nearly seven metres (23 ft).
The building will now be 43-storeys tall allowing another 16 apartments to be built.
The design and access statement said: “The main changes are the addition of two extra floors of residential apartments over levels 41 and 42, resulting in an increase in height of 6.68m to the tower to accommodate these floorplates.
“The number of residential apartments has increased by 16, to 229.
“The other minor material amendments include internal amendments to the layout of Level 06, and reconfiguration of the bicycle parking and bin provision to reflect the increased quantity of residential apartments.”
The former defender owns a chain of hotels and townhouses after first getting into property development in his early 20s.
Among his prize assets are a string of hotels and development projects.
His investments include Hotel Football, a luxury hotel overlooking Old Trafford, and the stunning Stock Exchange Hotel near Piccadilly Gardens.
League Two side Salford City are perhaps his most famous investment alongside fellow members of the Class of 92′.
He founded “Relentless” – an investment company who specialise in ventures around the Manchester area – in 2015, while also running property and construction consultancy firm “Zerum”.
